What is free light?
Free light is a colouring technique in which the lightener is placed freehand — without foils or a cap — directly onto selected strands. Because the highlights are distributed at different heights along the hair, the result is not a hard line but a soft transition full of movement.
The result reads like light coming from within the hair itself: from a distance you see hair that has caught the light rather than hair that has been coloured. That is why free light is the technique for anyone unwilling to compromise on a natural look.

The process
First the hair analysis: the current colour, any previous treatments, the texture and the target tone are assessed together. This is where we establish how much lift the free light can carry.
Then comes the technique: the strands are selected freehand, the lightener is distributed along the length and the transitions are softened. The final step is toning — the warmth of the highlights is set to match your undertone.
